As part of our ongoing commitment to promote and encourage all vocations within our parish family, we have initiated a VOCATIONS CORNER here and in our CHURCH BULLETIN. In this corner, we present information monthly to help develop our knowledge and understanding of each calling.
Our mission at Good Shepherd parish is to pray for each other and the intention of holy vocations to consecrated single life, Religious Life, the vocation of married life, the permanent diaconate and the priesthood as represented on our Logo.
As part of our mission, we would like to encourage you to pray with your families for vocations. Our Vocations prayer is included here and is also available to download as a prayer card. Prayer is a necessary and fruitful way to foster and nurture vocations. It is a foundation stone and a proven means to build secure families and the vocations to married life, to consecrated single life, to the priesthood, religious brothers and sisters and the permanent diaconate. We want to encourage you to pray in your home at mealtime, or at another convenient time when you’re together. Let us prayerfully support one another as we discern and live out our holy vocations.
For more information, The Vocations Committee has set-up a Vocations information kiosk in the church Narthex . On it you will find vocations prayer cards as well as information about vocations and about discerning your vocation. We invite you to take home and read the material and then to talk in your family about the various vocations.
